Prestwold hall wedding photography – Rosie & Hew

Rosie and Hew had their wedding ceremony at Elvaston castle church, an amazing church set in the grounds of the equally amazing Elvaston castle, its not really a castle more a stately house with vast grounds and is one of Derbyshires hidden gems, we then headed to the grandeur  Prestwold Hall, the sun was low in the sky, and it was then play time, a massive thankyou to Rosie & Hew for allowing me to create some magical wedding images,

For the photographers who read my blog, all images taken with Nikon Cameras and various lenses, i also keep getting asked why i dont do many black and white images, my answer to that is why should i do black and white, not that i dont like B/W its just i see the world in color and having seen so many turn images to black and white to hide problems or to make the image look more creative I will stick to my color and maybe the odd B/W image, but watch this space as i may do an entire post with B/W images.

Festival Theme Wedding – Jemma & Dafyyd’s

It seems an age since we shot Jemma & daff’s wedding last year, they had an extended honeymoon to travel for five months so held back until they were home and they are just that so here are few images from their amazing day, Jemma looked incredible in her authentic vintage 1930′s dress and her styling of daffyd was pretty awesome too, these two are definitely a match made in heaven and a big thank you to them both for the privilege of photographing their wedding.

Hodsock Priory Weddings – Sarah & Ashley

Sarah and Ashley had their wedding a few months back, pressure was on again as Sarah herself is a pro photographer, I seem to be getting more and more weddings for other Pro Photogs, but its great fun. Hodsock Prioy was the reception venue with the ceremony taking place in Perlethorpe church, Ashleys two children were there one named cooper and the other beetle, cars really but they are like his children, such care and attention go into those two cars but they were amazing, just a few pics from their amazing wedding.

Colwick hall weddings – pic of the day

Here in the UK often complain about the weather, rain, wind, lack of sunshine etc etc, but i try not to complain and make the most of what we get, my favorite months of the year are April and late September, the light we get then is very different, the sun never reaches high enough to create major light issues and comes down with such grace and then its gone, to catch the last of the sun you gotta be quick, 5 mins after this shot was taken it was gone, this was taken at Colwick Hall, near nottingham, this venue is great but never gives a clear landscape to obtain the best from the sunset, a racecourse and high tree bank beyond this stop the perfect sunset, but the sun was to perfect on this evening and we wanted it so a little odd placement of lisa, dale and myself and the shot was made, not perfect but in the circumstances a great shot.
